The two cons you highlighted obviously touched a chord with many of us here as shown by the responses, and I am not an exception. The release of any limited editions must be weighed extremely carefully for top tier brands, because once the exclusivity is eroded, so does the brand.

Retention of value is definitely a factor to consider at this price point.
Your criticisms, and the criticisms of those above, are legitimate, and noted.
But I would answer that enamel is an expensive luxury and unnecessary-just like a tourbillon is unnecessary. They add to the charm-perhaps the exclusivity-but how many watches have either or both of these features? And we do not complain about their lack....

I us d to take a close look on the dial, which seems to be rougher than ordinary dial. The consequence of the rough dial is that the letters and numbers printed on it tend to spread, resulting in a blurred painting. Similar issue comes with Richard Lange ...

I think the current Lange...
is no longer the same Lange when it started. Just look at the amount different rendition of 'PLM' out there... they are having exhaustion. Nothing new from this brand excites me anymore.
