Datograph pusher feel.

I recently purchased a pre-owned 1st Gen Datograph (L951.1). I've always read how "buttery smooth" the pushers feel. However, the pushers on my Datograph do not seem to feel that way. Rather, I feel a slight give in the pusher, followed by a clear resistance (almost like a wall) then a sudden "clean break." Think of holding a very thin glass rod and bending it until it snaps. From what I was told, my particular watch was last serviced in 2009 so I'm not sure if it needs to go back to Lange. Can any Datograph owners comment on the feel of the pushers?

I have a 1st generation Datograph and like you I purchased it second hand. The start/stop and reset pushers are very easy and smooth to operate and from previous comments I read and heard about that is how they should feel. I strongly suggest you take it ...

I’ll be in New York next month so I plan on stopping by the Lange boutique and showing it to them.

This is my first high end chrono and was not sure how it should feel. I guess I was expecting it to feel like a very soft push and return; similar to those spring loaded keys on older computer keyboards. Thanks for the responses.

Definitely different...

I've been using a first-gen Dato to do timed exercises for a class all week and have really been enjoying the feel of the pushers. I encounter very little resistance. It's almost like a digital watch, but better because there's that barely perceptible "cl...
