A class by itself.
IMO the best chronograph at any price. You can spend twice as much and still not get half the quality as your 1815. Actually prefer it to the Datograph. Sacrilege to some, but don't need the date and the 1815 is so much more wearable with its reduced thickness.
Dial is as pure as it gets, and the movement is as bulletproof as it is elegant. Flyback is a bonus!
I thought these had been discontinued for the boutique edition though. Was it difficult to find?

Not heavy
Actually I cannot agree that 1815 chronograph in gold is heavy. Did you try platinum?

I had owned the 1815 chrono in gold and it was heavy for me. Just like gold Rolex watches with gold bracelets are way too heavy for me. However a platinum Patek is lighter than a gold Lange! Just the difference in the way both brands make their watches. B...

Decided to weight 1815 Chronograph and Jumbo
Actually the chronograph is even lighter than the Jumbo. But Jumbo's case weight is balanced with the weight of a bracelet. So Jumbo feels overall lighter. Maybe buying a clasp for 1815 may increase its comfort. Best, Alex. ...

I prefer watches without a date so a simple chronograph is a best choice. Datograph is thicker and more expensive. I mentioned the plate under the balance wheel that is visible As for cotes de Geneve - I completely agree, my mistake)

I'm surprised, as the plate under my RL balance is decorated. I will have to look a little closer at my other Langes to see if this is the exception.

I consider them to be 2 different watches. 1815 is great as an every day watch. Much better than Calatrava or VC or almost any other brand. 1815 Chronograph is the watch to look at with a loupe
