Need help with Datograph
I need some help from members regarding my Pt Datograph. The watch is about 4 years old and I am currently traveling with it. It works perfectly during the day when I have it on but at night when I take it off, it loses time and in the morning is about 10 minutes slow. I have to set the time and fully wind it every morning and the process repeats itself. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced such problems and what the cause might be? I am going to send it in for servicing when I get back from my travels but in the meantime I am quite frustrated with this situation. Any help, conjectures or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for that. I did not think of the watch being magnetized since I have no problems when I wear it during the day. However, I think you're right - its time for service as I have never sent it in yet.

I think, a service in Glashütte is the best way to find out what´s wrong with the beautiful Datograph. Especially after four years of constant wearing the fine watch. When the Datograph is back it will be like new. Regards! Sascha

Thanks for the message. I was wondering as well why it does not lose time on my wrist during the day but only at night. I figured the power reserve was not adequate for some weird reason. Unfortunately this implies a bigger problem than the watch being ma...

putting the clock slightly tilted to one side and see if the delay increases or decreases the morning after. if it were magnetized would lose time all day long, you can always try to reload it before storing. I agree it's time to have a service.
