TheMadDruid shares a significant milestone in his collecting journey: the reacquisition of four watches he previously regretted selling. This post highlights the emotional connection collectors have with their timepieces and the satisfaction of completing a 'grail' quest. His latest find, a platinum A. Lange & Söhne Datograph, is presented as the pinnacle of this endeavor, inviting the community to compare it with his former rose gold version.

And in platinum, even better. Congratulations, my friend. Nicolas
It's my grail, one of the watches i love the most. Perfect size, biga date, the smoothest pushers i've ever tried. Platinum is the cherry on top. As a friend of mine uses to say, Dato is one of those watches you don't know which side to put on ;-)
The platinum Datograph (original version of course) is the one single watch that has been on my mind 15 years or so that I have not gone after. I contemplated it a few times, but the budget has never lined up. I applaud the purchase. It is a grail for any Purist!
The stars aligned on this one-a trade really, and not a purchase. So I feel very, very lucky.
Well done amigo well done You had great horological year Next will be even better Yours D
I really adore the Dato. If it only would wear more comfortable on my small wrist... Your Dato seems to be something special with its inverted hands for small second and minute counter.
