Case design diversity at Lange
Any chance of seeing a new approach to case design at Lange? Not as a replacement to their standard design, but something different for interest’s sake? Perhaps some solidly German but nonetheless different lugs? I’m talking here about the round case design rather than pleading for form watches. Their design is excellent and the polished and brushed finishes beautiful, but it’s unusual that they stick so rigidly to the same design, acknowledging small tweaks to the bezel in recent times.

Agreed! That perfectly round shape is starting to get boring.
Only the Zeitwerk breaks it a little because of the digital dial.

The case is fairly flat and wears a little larger than the diameter listed would suggest. I personally like a larger watch (40mm+), and find even the 38.5mm pieces quite wearable due to the construction of the case. The case architecture IMO also communic...
One of my favorite things about Lange (and Journe and KV)
Is that they use more or less the same case design for all of their watches. Sticking to a single design for the case is the exception to the norm for the industry, and I enjoy the consistency across their products. Best, Brandon

I too really hope Lange adds something new in their collection in 2019 from a design and creative perspective. Love their movements but their cases are boring.
I wish they do. Adds to the elegance.
But they may not have the expertise and machines to manufacture contoured cases. These take years or decades to develop.
I understand where you are coming from.
However, i for one love the Lange DNA across all lines. I love a watch brand that can be recognized through its unified design. Lange is unique and making different cases will dilute the brand IMO.
