The MB&F is more impressive technically but the DS is more impressive visually on the back but not the front. Both great chronographs to have my friend.

The DS can do more with one movement than the MB&F can do with two. If you press the ten o'clock button twice, it will record and display the best lap or worst lap, with the hands either moving forwards or backwards! The MB&F is visually striking and "eas... 

The Double Split is more complex BUT the Sequential Evo CAN do what the Double Split does and also much more in a more practical and simpler way. I agree with you about the Double Split being a ground breaking reference, which it still is, but looking at ...

As mentioned: if the best lap time is shorter, both hands (minutes and seconds) move backwards!

The Sequential Evo just does it better, easier, and offers many more options 😉

Let's go a step deeper... The king chrono should also be fit for a King. A great king doesn't need to be verbose, but true power is best displayed doing less, with an elegant boldness.

I favor the DS of those two due to its timeless design. But are they the Kings of chronographs? To me, this leaves out of debate the Minerva MB hand wound chronographs. A king must not necessarily be the most complicated object, its also about doubtless h... 

But as a fan of Chronographs with triple digit Chronographs in my collection ranging from vintage to modern, monopushers to double Rattrapantes, Foudroyantes, manual winds, automatics, several from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000... 

There are many beautiful chronos, many well finished chronos, many historically significant chronos, and many novel and complex chronos. I think there are truly few innovative and game changing chronos. Congrats on this pairing! In the same way the double... 

And with only one chrono in the mid triple-digits I would not dare to challenge your collectors experience ;-) My point was that the interpretation of a King can vary and I don't share your criteria which are purely technical / innovation based in my unde... 

And how truly INNOVATIVE it is in terms of beig able to do things no other chronograph can do. It is a GAME CHANGER in this category and I cannot stress that enough 😉

Have you thought of adding a DB maxichrono?

Require a very large wrist band if you go out in public! I love the look of the mb&f. It is amazeballs! I will have to do more research on both to give my final verdict but from pure aesthetics I like the mb&f more because if it’s fresh look.
