Great post on my favourite sub-brand of Seiko....

You're right about the evolution. In my opinion, the "Brightz" range was shining brightest in the early 2000s. It subsequently got diluted with watches using quartz and stainless steel models, not the mention the recent "Brightz Ananta" brand dilution as well.

However its great that you did this piece on the "Brightz" range. There is not much information out there about the "Brightz" watch range in general, given that Seiko still kept it domestic, just like the Credor range. Perhaps one day it will follow the Grand Seiko, Prospex and Galante watches in going international.

I personally kept hold of the Brightz watches that are "pure-bred"..i.e. automatic movement AND Brightz titanium cases, just to remind myself what great value and design Seiko can produce when it wants to.
