You never cease to amaze me with your musical knowledge (and your Omega knowledge as well of course!).
Great watch on your wrist today. You know I have an special fondness for GS and Seiko watches.
Interesting Theme you bring. And many memories as well.
I have many favorite singers which would make a very long list. You have already named a few of them: Nat King Cole and Dusty Springfield.
I loved the crystal clear voice of Karen Carpenter.
Also Shirley Bassey and Ella Fitzgerald.
I am very fond of Frank Sinatra and had the pleasure of assisting to one of his shows when he visited my Country in the 1980’s.
I also love Tony Bennett. It was my dream to have the pleasure of assisting to a show and listen him live. Regrettably he is very old and with health problems now.
A few shots of them:
Karen Carpenter
Dusty Springfield
Shirley Bassey
Frank:
Tony Bennet
Ella Fitzgerald
Now the watches for this weekend follow below:
Have a nice and relaxed weekend dear Art and all our friends here!!
Panerai Submersible Pam 959 42 mm case
And will switch for this little 34 mm Rolex reference 9659 from 1964. Gold case, manual wind movement cal 1225.
It has a marvelous sunburst blue dial which is very difficult to capture in a shot. This watch was called “Elegant Watch Model” in Rolex catalogs of the 1960’s.
