Our team on the ground at SIHH just sent me some live pictures of the 47mm Panerai PAM616 Carbotech Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic.

Here at SIHH, the Panerai PAM 616 Carbotech is getting a lot of interest. What are your thoughts about this piece? The caseback has the classic Pig. The front has a wavy design that reminds me of a 'Damascus' steel knife. Side has a strange case ribbing. ...

They do give the watch even more personality than the stock press photos. I love the swirling on the bezel and the layer look on the side. Very very cool! And the blue OP accents on the rubber strap is nice too. Cheers, Anthony

The blue on the strap is definitely a nice touch of the cool "Panerai Blue" that makes the piece much more fun and a little bit less serious. Functionally, it also makes the watch easier to spot when you leave it somewhere because the color makes it stand...
I wore it on my wrist...yesterday in Geneva.

What an amazing piece! It's only the second Sub I've "considered" buying (the other a 24A) for some...nano seconds. I will not buy it, of course (Subs are REALLY, not my cup of tea) but if somebody were to put a gun at my back and say buy one, instead of ...
