Funny you asked. I was asking myself the same question just last week.

While I like it on a strap, I do think the bracelet is more versatile.  It is easier to put it on and take it off, and I don't need to be concerned about getting it wet, for example.  It also makes the watch less formal.

I asked my local AD to help source me an OEM bracelet for this watch.  At the same time, I put on a cheap but quite comfortable SS bracelet on it as temporary measure.   If I can't get an OEM bracelet, I will probably get a better quality after-market one.

I never noticed the screwhead slot alignments until I read this thread.  But really they are so small I doubt anyone will notice it.  But now I know the problem is there, so damn you all smile

Jaeger Lecoultre Geophysic Universal Time. How do you like it?

On its strap? Or on its bracelet? You well know my love for the Geophysic Universal Time, which I consider as one of the best watch the Manufacture made in the affordable range these last 7 years. They first introduced it on a strap, then ended with a bra...

Strap is preferred, but not black 'gator

Bracelet is great for summer though. However, what keep me from grabbing that watch are those two screws on the dial. I'm only willing to tolerate them if the slots are both perfectly vertical. Back when it was still in the catalog, I used to check JLC di...

I´m with you regarding the screws. It was the only fault I found in this watch. I finally went for it as I felt that the screw heads were not so distracting in the real and more noticeable in the promotional shots.

Even today, I can´t understand how a brand like JLC couldn´t find another solution to hold the dial to the movement. Much more than they couldn´t make these screws align in the vertical. But it is a most beautiful watch no doubt. Best, Abel

I like travel watches better on a bracelet in general

... because of heat resistance, being able to wear them in the pool, etc. I have the Master Hometime on what looks like the same bracelet and it is very comfortable. best Andreas

It is a beautiful watch indeed and a shame they discontinued it. I wear mine with the original croc straps. I haven´t seen it in the metal the bracelet variant.

The bracelet looks very nice indeed but still I think the watch looks nicer with straps for my taste. I repeat that the only fault I found on this watch are the dial screws, but found they are not so noticeable in the real watch as it shows in the promoti...

Strap, without a doubt. I have the bracelet, but rarely wear it.

The issue is the end-links. The first articulation is well beyond the lugs, which causes the watch to wear MUCH bigger than when on a strap. Also, the tight tolerances between links cause the bracelet to bind, or kink. It's too bad, as the bracelet is bea...

Always loved this one

The watch is great. It has a particular city pair that I would want (Paris and HK) but which is found on very few world timers. Only problem is I remember the watch wearing large. Some of you may know that I’m generally a bracelet guy. This bracelet, if I...

Hard to tell ...

but I think I'm leaning towards the bracelet. Straps are common, and almost everybody does that. Bracelet gives it a totally different look and it actually looks quite good on that bracelet.
