2021 Novelty: Jaeger Lecoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon 39 Blue Dial. Some thoughts.

By: amanico : November 3rd, 2021-09:26
Recently, Jaeger Lecoultre revisited the Master Ultra Thin Moon. They offer it in a new 36 mm case, which is really nice with its opaline dial and its " improved " Cal 925, and in a 39 mm case we know since 2011, but here, slightly slimmer as the first on...

Thanks, Nico.

I’d heard about the new oils, but didn’t know about the other improvements. 👍🏿

Love it

I’ve been eyeing the petrol blue for a while. It could be sooner or later. Great post and great job JLC.

imagine this were manual wind 🤔 and 36mm, those were my reservations during my prior ownership of the white 39mm and which I let go for feeling sterile. JLC are getting close🤞🤞

Blue beats black

I was very lucky to try on the new blue dial MUT Moon on Saturday and I have to say it’s STUNNING, it seems to be so much better than the blue RDM….it’s very tempting but I have the silver dial version already and except for the lack of 70 hour power rese...

I have an older version of the 39 mm with silver dial and love it

Certainly my most comfortable dress watch, and I think 39 mm is the perfect size for my wrist. I prefer the silver dial, as I am a sucker for the blued seconds hand. If there's one small change I'd consider making to the dial, it'd be to make the "31" on ...

What for me is difficult

I understand a brand thinks about design. Using hands that blend into the dial, hard to read time. A picture can be different than see the watch in flesh. Guilty to this, one of my favorite watches which i can not leave alone and get full wrist time is ha...

Thank you! I appreciate the increased PR. Other than that... the changes are verrrrrry ummm 'nuanced....' The moonphase looks essentially the same? What is different about it? I need changes I can recognize... chuckle! I really see little to nothing to sp...

The dial is too clinical for me… cold and lack of poetry…

I’ve always preferred warm moon… Even though I think JLC has improved its caliber… this watch reminds me of a magnificent frigid woman… something is missing to make it attractive ... A moving screw maybe ... 😂😂😂 or something else…

I wore these watches on my wrist at the store when I was looking at the moon phases.

The texture of the dial reflects a cold, clinical light ... It’s personal taste, I know. in the photos these watches may be desirable ... but in reality - at least for me - nothing happens ... no emotion (I wrote emotion correctly). there is something too...

in love with the blue!

it brings the "pop" which was missing in the silver dial (which i agree looked a bit "clinical") Does anybody know if already available in stores? Best regards Seb

Let me join the fun, and vote for the black.

The blue is nice, but I thought the black dial provides a better contrast for the moonphase.

A lot of my purchase decisions are about what gaps are in the watch box at home I tend towards Blue and White Gold/Platinum; lately, Black on rose gold seems to pop And 36 is quite small, even 39 is a little smallish J'adore le 39 Guilloché Blue Enamel --...
