Looks like another great PuristSPro GTG!
My Singapore friends are calling for a GTG here too!
Totally agree - the SpiritS of the PuristS is best felt in a gtg to enjoy fine watches, food and wine and most importantly, the PuristS company! smile

Cheers

It's always nice to get together with good friends, meet new ones, surrounded by good food and wine...

Local get togethers have always been a pillar of PuristS' life since we were founded as a virtual community back in 2001. It used to be that anywhere in the world a Purist went, there was a local group ready to give a warm welcome. Unfortunately, "real li...

Nicely written, Thomas.

"Life is too short to drink mediocre wine; Time is too precious to measure on a cheap watch." I cannot agree more with that. When looking at those pictures, I miss the So Cal Gang so much! What is this Ferrari? A 328??? Thanks for witnessing Watchrprosite...

That was my email signature since the late 1990's...

I have always enjoyed being in this community, this family here on PuristSPro! When I first started liking watches, I thought I was a mutant... Finding PuristSPro was like finding Charles Xavier school of gifted talents Now I know I am not alone lol! Chee...

The setting was a very rustic dining room. Not some overly modern restaurant. There were no menus. People declared their dining preferences and allergens. The food came out family style and was not individually plated. The food always came out hot, someth...

Surely a memorable gathering.

I'm glad it went well and sorry to have missed it (although my car would have looked out of place in that parking lot).

Was surprised I didn't see you...

By: patrick_y : May 25th, 2015-15:10
I've been thinking about you and your lovely square VC, the gold one with the bark-like finish. Oh, and my car looked out of place too. It was a tiny white hatchback, a rental. But it actually looked reasonably sized with the low-slung Ferrari parked next...

I was at a mandatory 65th birthday party of a good friend.

By: mkvc : May 26th, 2015-00:18
A very pleasant obligation, but I was quite sorry it conflicted with the gathering. I hope to see you soon.

Perfectly understandable...

By: patrick_y : May 26th, 2015-11:40
I'd expect you to attend my 65th Birthday Party over your watch society gathering. Admittedly.

There was so much food that I'm still digesting it...

A memorable dinner with memorable food, wine, and company. Not to mention seeing some unusual vehicles.

Dave, so glad to see old timers like you rejoin the ranks!

Hopefully you've discovered that the new platform is quite easy to use even with photo uploads - the utility is a pop up right from the edit page - and we are working on making it even easier! Looking forward to reading more from you again. Cheers, Amigo,...

You are right Thomas

A great time!

So wonderful to see everyone. There is no better place to enjoy wine, food, and watches than in the company of fellow PuristS! Lovely sentiments, Thomas! Cheers, Daos

Thomas, the "real life" scenario is cruel

By: lhk1 : May 25th, 2015-15:50
But we should not let that be our obstacle to hold GTG. We are facing the similar problem here in Malaysia. Often, we have whisky or wine drinking, or travelling for good food GTG. Using purist friend's wedding or birthday as an opportunity/excuse to get ...

When i was a teenager I always said that someday I would own a Lamborghini or Ferrari. The Ferrari I always wanted was the 308. Thirty-some years later I have fulfilled the dream. Next time you are in town I'll have to take you for a ride!
