Nice but ...
Nov 23, 2017,04:30 AM
.. when are they going to mass-produce (=500,000 cars/year) a car with following specs: ?
Max weight: 1200 kilo
Max weight battery 200 kilo
5 people
Range: 600+ KM (real range that is).
Charging time: 15 minutes.
Max power output: 150 hp ... why on Earth would you want an electric car be so energy absorbing ?
And .. then .... what about the electricity network (yes everybody will be charging his car at the same time in the evening) ?
Honestly ? I am pretty damn sure we will not live to see a full switch to electric.
It seems Elon's talk is all about out-accelerating supercars on the quarter mile and waisting that precious electricity as quick as possible.
It's all one big show based on subsidiaries and the 'WOW'effect, no matter how good (i've tried the P85 and i found it damn nice) the concept, unless we now start to build an extra 10,000 nuclear plants (or cover the seas with solar panels) , it will remain a Utopia.
If we decide to invest in nuclear plants and windmills (several millions) we will all be able to drive a fancy 2000 hp electrical car.
That's the Bim's vision ;-)
