Ken Thank you for your nice words. I have a love/hate relationship with this brand. They have a killer movement but they also do some weird moves (like open dials, giant watches etc.). Of course, I do believe that everyone must have one. Cheers, Nilo

Nilo, thanks for the report. The Rainbow still looks stunning till now... as well as the functioning of the El Primero. I agree with you, it is "sturdy and tolerates all day-to-day abuse", and still keeping accurate time. You surely likely black dials :-)... 

You hit my sweet spot, that are black dials. As a matter of fact, I own a single white one, a white dialed Speedmaster that get little wrist time. Cheers Nilo

After reading your review, I have a newfound appreciation for my silver dial chronomaster . Bruno did a very good review as well sometime back and mine is like his. Fast beat but deadly accurate, but like you have pointed out the winding is a bit stiff. E... 

About the stiffness of the manual winding, it's a characteristic of the movement. Since the rotor wind is so efficient, the manual winding seems to not be necessary. Cheers, Nilo
