I've made some fountain pen posts here in the past.
I like the pen community. The watch community is all about who has what hard to get watch. In other words, who has deeper pockets. Your deep pockets, not your knowledge nor skill is the yardstick. The pen community doesn't care if you have a solid gold Montblanc or if you have a Namiki Goldfish Maki-E pen, the measuring stick is how good your penmanship is.
