Zenith

"ultrathin" is the justified, IMHO ...

Since its presentation in 1994 (I believe), the cal. 6xx Elite was one of the thinnest automatic movements made, With its 3.28 mm height, I think it was the second thinnest selfwinding movement with permanent second and date, beaten only by the Longines L.990/Lémania 8810, if I am correct. The Piagets don't have a date, IIRC.

Consequently, the term "ultrathin" is fully justified for the movement. If you now add a case that offers at least some stability for everyday use, and not one of those paper-thin packages that make the movement plates bend already at a sharp gaze, with sapphire crystal and room sufficient enough for gaskets that make the watch really watertight, it will be difficult to come under 7mm total height. Well, 8mm ist not that much higher ...

Marcus
