What better way to mark Americas Independence day
But with a theme based on the Independent Watchmaker of the World.
Recently, I had been examining my small collection and realised that something was missing a timepiece from and Independent.
I knew what I would have ideally loved to own, and I suspect that I would not be alone. A Simplicity made by Mr Philippe Dufour, but alas that would probably never happen. 
But I have always been impressed with a certain Austria brand and so my research began.
First, though I must show you one timepiece that I have had "Sellers Remorse" virtually since I sold it. Though I did buy a Patek with the funds, so all is not bad

It is the stunning 40mm Black Label FPJ Calendrier.
Until now that was my only true independent watchmakers watch, but since two weeks ago that all changed.

Stunning watch !
Saw the watch at the Beijing FPJ boutique, and I really like it ! Was told its been sitting there for some time now ... waiting to be adopted. The colours and materials used is quite different from the rest of the FPJ collection, makes it a real stand out...

Dreamer, I did think about the Doppel3......
But the delivery time is quite long and I wanted to get something now. But it is an amazing watch. That said, I was instantly attracted to the Jumping Second and it is a nice & different complication. :)
