This is a most interesting theme dear Arie... And I feel we will be viewing a good array of amazing watches this week end...
... Watches which haunted us and fired the impulse to buy them... but the pass of time (and the existence in our watch boxes of other more exciting pieces) relegate them to the bottom of a drawer and little wrist time.
I choose four watches in this category in my collection. It doesn´t mean I don´t like them any more. Just watches that see no wrist time since long ago.
An Omega 300 Seamaster with which I never developed a strong rapport I should confess.
My Breitling Chronomat, bought in 1993 (long before I even dreamed with becoming a watch collector) when I deeply fell in love with its awesome blue dial with gold sub dials.
My Oris Diver 1965 which made me dream with the watches used during my early attempts to scuba dive in the mid 1960´s.
and a Hamilton Jazz Master Open Heart with a beautiful metallic brown dial which reflects my fondness for squeletonized watches which at the same time I find so difficult to read the time.
Old loves which I still like and need to give a little more use indeed.
Have a great week end dear Arie and all our dear friends here at PuristS
Abel.
