There is something about time only watches that makes them shine!

Though your VC is certainly very grand, looking at this part of your collection it is easy to notice just how different, unique, and beautiful they all are. Each standing tall in their own light.
Hello! I have the pleasure of hosting this weekend. As I previously announced our Theme is: “Keep it Simple!!” and I’m asking our participants to share with us their time only watches. No complications this weekend. Just watches displaying hours, minutes ...
I´m expecting many entries including this superb offering from Omega introduced early this year and phased out of production so quickly as surprisingly. Thank you for sharing dear Captain! Best, Abel
... so special. Agree with you that the minimalistic dial and no seconds condiition makes it the perfect KIS choice. Also agree that the 44/45 mm sizes are more comfortable for many owners but this full size 47 mm Radiomir cases wear so well probably due ...
among my collection, my 60-year-old vintage Rolex 1024 won as the simplest. I was debating about posting my blue-dial Bulgari Octo Finissimo, which is definitely simplicity with style looking very stylish. I chose the Rolex, though, because it is so simpl...
Guess your Octo Finissimo also deserves to be shared if you wish. It also ticks all boxes in high style and you may share with us more than one watch if you wish. Thanks a lot for your entry. Hagwe! Abel
I didn’t realize how many I had with a date window! Here’s what I found. Forgot that the Streamliner was a time only until I went through them. Had a few that almost made the cut - but one had a power reserve indicator and while a tourbillon isn’t strictl...
... I preferred to discard them from the choices. Also those with a power reserve indicator. Regret to say I don´t own a tourbillon but agree too that its presence could raise the question about if it is or not a "complicated" timepiece. Lol!! I´m special...
The Piaget doesn’t get many outings but it’s a cool watch for sure. Similarly the Vacheron is struggling to get out lately. The Moser and Panerai are both real beauties in the sunshine as you can see. Great theme this week - made me stop and think! ...
I lusted after this dial - and struggled to get it since it was released pretty much in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Still not available from Moser for the time being. I must say that the Vantablack Tourbillon is stunning too - same size as this one....
I have been trying to get one but no luck so far . I just need to enjoy pics like the one your showing. Was lucky to play with the Vantablack Tourbillon from. The CEO during GWDs. Very very impressive i must say
The issue was that they had so many orders that production for the next two years was already spoken for so they have stopped taking orders (this was based on discussion with Edouard Meylan and Nicholas Hoffman). The website lists it as “unavailable”. Mos...

... years ago. It´s an understated watch which I often wear and reminds of my good friend. Agree with you about the old Longines. Another favorite of mine and a lucky find some years ago. I´m happy you like them! Best, Abel
... CK 859 was an expected entry this weekend. But the two modern Longines are big contenders. I´m specially fond of the sector dial one. The Pam 422 is another of my favorites. Nice to view your Reverso. Specially striking looks with a Jubillee bracelet!...

Several years back I thought my horological happiness would come from complicated watches, but I could not have been more wrong! Simple is beautiful! Warm regards, Yacomino.
Though your VC is certainly very grand, looking at this part of your collection it is easy to notice just how different, unique, and beautiful they all are. Each standing tall in their own light.
But judging from your taste, which seems similar to mine, longines and omega wouldn't be remiss. Specifically, longines 'tre tacche' and omega dress watches from the 1940s and 1950s. Before a certain time, they had no reference numbers and were known by t...
Your thread immediately brought back to mind that, a couple of summers ago, I suddenly rediscovered this lovely Patek 5124G....which I had purchased back in 2010, but for some inexcusable reason, almost never wore until recently! Possibly also for its fla...
Probably Italians are unique in having an special word for this concept and attitude with "sprezzatura” isn´t it? Gianni Agnelli and many Italian cinema actors come to my mind as example of this word. In any case you are a good example with you fine taste...
Gianni Agnelli was of course an icon in this (and many other) areas --- he will probably remain unmatched for his unique elegance Looking forward to seeing Boccadasse (and the rest of Italy) very soon, I'll be heading back for the Christmas break in exact...
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It is true Italians have a natural sense of style and good taste and it is evident when visiting a big city like Milano and viewing so many elegant ladies and gentlemen passing by. I’m happy to know you are returning t...
The entire (men's) Gondolo line has been retired, so if interested your only way would be a secondary dealer or another collector (I might be wrong, but wasn't Member Age_Of_Surfaces / Rosneathian considering selling one recently?). While I never buy seco...
An interesting thing in my view was definitely the beautiful shape movement, unlike earlier Gondolo iterations with round movements (which you'll easily identify by the closed case back ;-) Cheers. ...
A charming cushion case, a clean and lovely colored dial (with Breguet numbers!!) and those arrow hands make for a relaxed and classy presence on the wrist. (No need to mention its wonderfully finished movement which is a signature of L F watches). Fantas...
Stunning dial on your H&L and a classy presence on the wrist with the classic and elegant GS. Of course I love your Destro Luninor Marina and its dark case and three hands dial. Keep enjoying these "simple" watches my dear friend. Thank you for your entry...
It looks great on your wrist in spite its huge size and this adds fuel to my desire to own one. Probably it will take some time to arrive to my hunting grounds though. Impressive entry! Thank you! Hagwe, Abel
... A minimalistic though full of details ready to be discovered on your Felipe Pikullik. The stealthy dial of the Staudt. The unsigned dial on the Moser... The striking looks of the VH. But I guess your Meister Singer Nr 01 is the winner of simplicity he...
I always admire your photography and this is a good example of what I appreciate so much in your shots: Exquisite composition and lightning, fine elegant clothes and accesories complementing your watch and of course an stunning watch to share. Guess we ha...
I wouldn´t say it is a "simple" watch considering its "dial side" but it surely stays in the concept of a just two hands watch to tell the time and stay within the "Keep it Simple" Theme. What a beautiful and superb watch deeply rooted with the past of Br...

Nice shots with your children as background. Watching them play and enjoy their activities and share our time with them is also a simple but so rewarding thing to do. Thank you so much for your entry! Hagwe. Abel
Which stands for: Keep it simple, stupid. And here is my entry, the rain turned to snow today which is quite fitting for this icy cherry blossom colour. Cheers, Chris ...
... dial of your watch. Specially love the first shot with the snow flakes showing on your watch and wrist. Thank you for your participation! Hagwe. Abel
I don’t have anything more complicated than a date indicator so this theme is perfect for me. When the rain turned to snow I knew it was a sign I had to participate! Thanks again for hosting wristscan 😁
... from a two or three hands watch. The CK 859 is very popular among members of our Community. An unexpected and beautiful offering from Omega this year. It´s a shame they discontinued it so fast. Keep enjoying your so much! Hagwe! Abel
… inspired me to check my box for a few more timepieces following the KIS concept of our Theme to share here: Hagwe!! Abel Pam 249 Hamilton Khaki Black Bay Tudor Vintage Explorer ref 1016 Tribute to Geophysic Reverso tribute to Model 1931 Rouge Tribute to...
Glad you like the Reversos shown. Actually they are modern tributes to the Model of 1931 offered a few years ago but they faithfully keep the character of the originals. Enjoy your weekend my dear friend. Abel
Delighted by the theme - a favourite - and by so many delectable watches already posted. This one returned to the bank vault last week; such a great watch, but so much of the pleasure of ownership is evaporating: it is a victim of its own popularity. Chee...
I feel that the pleasure of owning and wearing our watches is sometimes jeopardized by present security conditions in our respective home places judging from the news coming from several parts of the world were it was safe to wear well known brand watches...
...here's a few of mine starting with this for today holiday shot few years ago an old favourite the Rouge just Cartier Fun piece Thanks,Abel ,for the theme...enjoyable ...
That version of the Railmaster offered some years ago is really impressive. I owned the same but it presently is on the wrist of my son in law so I can view it very often and makes me happy feeling he enjoys it so much. Looks like you and me have similar ...
Vintage offers a wide palette of Time Only choices, which can be from the "Big 3" of PP AP & VC Or from relatively more obscure vintage brands. Modern time-only Indies also provide much enjoyment. A Holthinrichs Raw Ornament is a delight on the wrist... w...
In fact, 2/3 of the collection comprises time-only watches at this time, the majority (~85%) of which are manual-winding. There is a pleasing simplicity to time-only watches.
I´m specially impressed with your Feynman watch and its stunning champleve dial. I followed your link to know more about these watches and the technique employed. Very interesting indeed. All interesting and beautiful pieces among which my favorite is you...
color models. I partly followed my wife counseling and decided the silver. By the way, I am in love with your Vacheron. I think I like it more than the Calatrava. Cheers.
Charming board clock you share here too! Making our children understand how to read time is the first step in making following us in our passion for watches. Thank you so much for your entry. Hagwe! Abel
From all sides. a balanced view – Tribute Geophysic Love that low–key charme This one is one of my real GADA (Go Anywhere – Do Anything) watches A bit exuberant but so universal Omega Railmaster CK 2914 Great to look down on her Indie Habring‘s Erwin, a f...
I used to have one, foolishly sold it, regretted it, and fortunately made up for it by getting the Habring2 TZ21 also with the same jumping seconds complication. Habring2 makes fantastic watches for the money! And they're such a lovely couple.
As a matter of fact I own all the watches you share today except for the Habring. Regret it is impossible to find it here in my hunting grounds, but I would be happy to get one some day during my travels. All your choices fill the KIS concept and I´m glad...
..with apologies for initially entering one watch (PAM 1074, Submersible, Bronzo/ Blue abisso), for containing a date.. Either way, it is always so nice to follow the WS–thread and posts there within. Best
.. indeed, this TT Geophysic to me is one of JLC’s very fine modern watches; not more, no less ! - Thx again & have a good upcoming new week ! Best, hs 😊
Dear Abel. Just when I had reviewed my entry, it turns out, that my entry of the PAM 1074, Submersible Blu Abisso, does contain a date indication, which I had apparently overlooked. So, pls disregard those last two pics and apologies expressed from my sid...
Honored to join this week’s WristScan with these three: Gramps’ Omega, My trusty 114270 (with water droplet “cyclops” — but, honest, no date!), and my latest. Cheers all! ...
Three great watches! The old Omega with a nice provenance. The Explorer 114270 I believe you that is no date as I own an identical trusty watch. Big congrats on your latest catch. You can’t never go wrong with a Reverso! Hagwe! Abel
I keep wanting to add more time only but have been distracted by chronographs this year. VC tradionelle 38mm has been an early favorite since I began collecting and never made it work. Need to hunt one since only RG from boutique now. C.1954 omega Sub ND ...
Three interesting choices. The vintage Omega full of charm. The Submariner always a great choice and the LF so classy and elegant! Looks wonderful with those straps. Hagwe! Abel
The Cellini collection offers many superb watches and deserves attention from watch lovers. Nice to view great Cellini participating in our event! Hagwe! Abel
Dear Abel , wonderful choice of theme this weekend , and great to see so many exceptional watches ! At first I thought it would be easy enough to find many time onlys in my collection, but then realised that the exclusion of Dates would rule out a whole b...
Interesting timepieces you share here which qualify for our theme. Specially impressed with the Avi and its unusual airplane seconds hand, the Armand Nicolet and the Russian Astronauts watch which is a piece I keep in my wish list since long and the Azimu...

. . . quite easily. This is the personal favorite of seven 30T2(SC)rg chronometers in my collection. And on my wrist since yesterday for some long overdue attention. Warmest, Art ...
... untouched dial. These watches are testimony of a Golden Era of Omega and combine a superb movement with a classic and beautiful design. Regrettably I could find only one in my hunting grounds with an original (though not perfect) dial which is the one...
Very beautiful watches and plates make for a charming background. I specially love the ChronoSwiss Regulator watch. Charming collection of pockets watches too. A feast for hhe eyes!! Have a nice Sunday! Abel
