. . . had his hands full, wouldn't you say?
"Dear Art
After the task you bestowed upon me, I must say that I respect film critics much more. It is much easier to judge watches.
Also, what I realized is that PuristS share same exquisite film taste as in watch, cars & food departments.
So the winner of the title film clip of the week goes to ----- Dirty Harry clip . . . oh sorry, that was mine . . .
Let me try again. Here it goes.
Since no one had chosen any Trinity (Eastwood, McQueen, Newman) film clip - i. e. instant win - I had to make top 3 choice.
Place 3 - The Deer Hunter Russian roulette epic scene.
Place 2 - to pplater's Walken (master of monologues) in Comfort of Strangers.
And since pplater didn't go after what would have been the winner [I think Damjan is referring to the Walken scene in Pulp Fiction], the winner is Good Long Friday ending.
Fact that we have our Friday WS (that is always good and long) - Hoskins act - Bonds* that is holding pistol - blend of music and emotion on Hoskins' face & Baron's reply to our judges this sessions thread=1st place.
Cordially,
Damjan"
Well, that was a surprise - not Damjan's decision so much as the relative obscurity of the scene. Just goes to show our judges are incorruptible!
* I think Damjan is referring to Pierce Brosnan, who was in the clip and also served as 007 in two (?) films
