First, thanks Blomman for asking me to be a judge. You’ve shown great trust here. I hope you don’t get in trouble for this.
For Watch of the Week:
Third place to ch9698 for his Comex Sea-Dweller. A highly-technical watch shown to great effect in both photos provided.
Second place to CC for his entry, which is a dream watch for many of us-the Three Golden Bridges. A wonder of a watch in the 19th Century, and to this day. And this White Gold version is very special.
First place is a tie: Tim Jackson’s Roger Smith Series II, and nitediver’s Glycine Airman.
Both are watches we don’t see here. And in their own way they are both technical wonders.
The Smith has a most gorgeous bas-relief dial to go with its fantastic movement.
The Airman is a great, and highly unusual, representative of Pilot Watches, which may be as important to Horology as the Marine Chronometer.
My congratulations to these winners, and everyone who posted.
There were so many excellent watches from which to choose.
Finally, from my perspective at least, the best photo submitted this week was Andy’s remarkable shot of a most wonderful shirt, accompanied by a lovely new Daytona. And in a Church. No more need be said.
