Hello Derreck! You surely made a point with your post explaining why your GS is the Perfect Zombie invasion watch to have. I own a few GS watches and they are very reliable,
tough and precise and beautifully finished. The Spring Drive has some advantages as you so well explained.
You show your here in a great "spring" shot (no pun intended, I´m just refer to the Season it seems having been shot)
I don´t own a SLGA0211 in my collection but have a SBGA211 Snow Flake which also has a Spring Drive movement inside, which could serve me too as a perfect Zombie invation watch.

Hello dear Captain! I was alarmed by your news about a Zombies invasión so first thing I did was searching the net to learn which is the way of getting rid of these creatures...
... and found that only a good shot or knife blow to destroy the head was the appropriate medicine, so I just grabbed three watches at hand, a couple of knives, a 1911 .45ACP, my Smith 29 .44 Mag, and my Steyr Scout .308 rifle and a good quantity of ammo ...

It is a favorite of mine, made by Steyr and inspired in a design of famous expert Jeff Cooper (USA) in caliber .308 W. It has a 4x scope installed in forward position for quick use and shooting with both eyes open if needed and a short barrel and bolt act...

Ha ha ha!! Yes dear Captain!! Randall knives are first class and have been in use in most big conflicts beginning during WW2, through Korea, Vietnam and other war conflicts.
I´m sure that if owners knows how to use a knife it will well serve with a giant squid as Capt. Nemo fights here or against the most troublesome zombie! Lol!

I specially like the Landmaster Seiko and the Doxa for a strong watch to have on the wrist while fighting some problematic zombies. And the GS Anti Magnetic is a beautiful watch to sport while taking a drink at a bar to recharge bateries afterwards. Love ...
