Great theme this week and I think I may have a couple “winners” for consideration.
First is the Bulova Accutron Astronaut (ca.1966) with the iconic 214 “tuning fork” battery operated movement. This 14k beauty with enhanced dial (applied markers) and “fork second hand” just huuums on your wrist and is a joy to wear.
Next is a Longines Ultra-Chron stainless steel block case, champagne dial and 14k bezel. Watch dates to 1967 with the infamous hi-beat cal. 435 automatic /date movement that runs at 36,000 bph making it a very precise mechanical watch.
The two lowest value watches in my collection but I would never part with.
