.....it would be ideal to compare it with the new Rolex SD for a direct comparison. Having said that, is technological superiority (if indeed it is superior) the only arbiter in the decision process? Obviously it is not as so many other factors come into ... 

perceived prestige, resale value, etc. But I was surprised by the chronometry in any case.

.... but would be good to see how, say, the new SD compared on a like for like basis. More scientific.

I own a few Black bay and absolutely love them. Might add a Pelagos and chrono one day Let's see what Basel will bring us. The Black bay and probably pelagos imo have no competitor in that Price range, heck even if they would cost 5000 euro I till would b... 

There are an awful lot of overpriced, inexcusably 'meh' watches. Once upon a time a benchmark might be the Speedie Moon and the basic Sub. "What am I getting as a benefit over those?" would be the question in yourmind. Now I think the base has shifted. Th... 

And for the price, it has serious value.
