Something to consider is that moissanite double refracts light, as does sapphire.
I don't know the degree of refraction for either, but if moissanite has more pronounced doubling than sapphire, or if the crystal growth doesn't allow for it to be cut at an angle that doesn't show the double refraction, it could be a problem.
I'm not a gem/mineralogist so I'm just speculating, but you should check it out.

You are right. moissanite has the double refraction.!! I already check.!! I think moissanite double refraction is not strong, i mean not big different with sapphire. so I think I can use by watch glass- just my opinion.!! Thank you very much for reply.~~
