Mido Commander

The Mido Commander is one of my favorite watches too.
Unfortunately mine is not a chronometer.
It sounds to me like, as John said above, your watch probably needs cleaning.
After several years the oil in the bearings looses its lubrication properties.
The oil then needs to be removed, cleaned, and replaced.
It is usually recommended to do this about once every 5 years.
At the same time your watchmaker will check out the movement if there has been wear or other problems that need to be looked after.
Your Commander needs a little vacation at the Spa, at your local certified watchmaker's.
