I did love the steel Hodinkee version from a long time ago, and tried to get one on secondary but was too expensive an ask. But it’s a cool grey dial. Haven’t seen one for sale again in years.

A classic dress chronograph with a pretty movement. I’m curious - what motivated you to go with the platinum model over the stainless steel one?

On a more reasonable note, it’s dial is more restrained, and the there’s the heft of the material which I like. I also do like the fact that noone (except a few members of this forum) would know this is a platinum watch.

I have the stainless version and it’s extremely light on the wrist. Interestingly this is a downside for me - not that I would look to trade up and I love the Serapian strap. I also have a platinum 1st generation Datograph as well as a WG 5172 Patek both ...

I concur with you. What makes this watch so good, apart from the lugs, are its perfect proportions. Plus the fact that it is very much an understated kind of elegance. It blends in nicely in almost any setting, both casual and elegant. Have a very happy 2... 

I personally chose the rose gold version because I love the warmth of this metal, but the platinum version has the same dial with a lovely blue tachymeter scale and it’s gorgeous too!

But imho grey is a very nice and versatile companion of the Cornes de Vache.
