Your watch certainly has the look of a Yamani-era VC. The examples of the 33090 that I see online were from Japanese sites so I wonder if it was intended for that market? Predates the Phidias but its fascinating to see the evolutionary process at work here. This image is from the 1987 VC catalog. Note ref 74014, a quartz watch with the same case shape. Unfortunately I don't have the 1988 catalog. By 1989 it wasn't featured but that doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't available. Will be interesting to hear what VC tells you.

And a distinct caseback engraving. Also, the 333 might have only come in Automatic or Quartz. Your watch seems to be a somewhat dressier ultra thin integrated bracelet execution without a unique model name such as Phidias, 222, 333, etc. ...
