While I often like a date on an automatic watch....
The Chronometer Royal 1907 is an exception. For me what makes this watch spectacular, more than even the chronometer rated Caliber 2460 SCC, is the enamel dial. I would hate to see it broken up (if it were even technically possible).
If VC were to ever make a non-enamel dial for the Chronometer Royal, then I might like to see the date window.

VC has watches with the date function so I don't see how that could be the bottleneck to getting your dream watch into production. IF VC doesn't introduce what you are hoping for you could follow Mostel's path and have VC make precisely the watch you want...

Hi Bill, I like the overall aesthetic of chronometre royal; the dial + the numerals + the hands + the size + the execution (+ date)=perfect for me!! But I guess like you said if the date version is not available next year then it's worth considering custo...
