Vacheron Constantin ref. 42015
The Malte Big Date (or Large Date or Large Calendar), powered by caliber 1204 is very rarely seen, but deserves some attention, imo.
It came with two different dials: one with large painted radial Arabic numerals, the other (which I find far less attractive) with applied 3, 9, 12 and indices.

And I don't recall the black dial white gold... that is killer!
The little man on
my left shoulder tells me that I don't like that dial, the the little man on my right shoulder tells me I do like it. They had a fight and the little man on my right shoulder won. I like that dial!! Especially the yellow gold version.

I’m glad you finally like it too. And as I’m always attracted to colored gold, I like the yellow gold version too!

It looks as if they've been trying to emulate Franck Muller. And I personally think they've done a nice job.
Exactly what I was thinking,
with a drop of Roger Dubuis mixed in. Haven’t seen it before. Agree about the yellow gold. More spacious with the dial. But like all of them. Very interesting post!
There is a distinct lack of dimension on the dial...
...it looks like the numbers were printed on paper (white dial). The date is an afterthought. Too much text...
I see what you mean, but don't exactly feel the same way.
I would have to see it in real life.
