I saw several the World Time several times, and wasn't impressed, but this Aronde, I need to see it once again.
I love a lot the shape of the case, very " my cup of tea " while I am not, a first impression, impressed by the dial, but it may change...
A pity the white metal version is exclusive to the Japanese market...

October WatchTime
The October issue of WatchTime has a great article on the Classical Revival in watch designs. They referenced VC's 1955 and 1968 Ultra-fines and the Aronde, as well as new-old designs by Omega, Zenith, Piaget, JLC, AL&S, Parmigiani and AP. Unfortunate...
That is definitely one of the better parts of the fallu season.

The more I see it in photos, the more I like it. Now that I know there is a white metal version, I am eager to see that one as well and to try one of these babies on. Not sure I could favor this over the 1968, but it is...very sexy. It is kind of amazing ...
The white gold model was the pre-launch 1954...
made for the Japanese market. It is not current or standard production, though it could some day become such. Personally, I like textured dials best when partnered with either yellow gold or rose gold cases. Bill

I much prefer it in this color.
