The launch of the new 36.5 x 8.43 mm Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin piqued my interest, so I wanted to have a look. I started with the white gold variant, ref. 4300T/000G-H106 But before I say anything about the watch itself, I'd like to ven...  

I am a bit nonplussed with perpetual calendars as I find the dials too busy and am in a less is more phase nowadays. But I have to say I really am disappointed to see VC calling an 8.43 mm thick watch Ultra Thin as they really do know better than that. Ma...

I was a bit more persistent and made them take it off )) Played with them last December and I like the overall look, but the cramped month and luck of seconds hand instantly disqualify this reference. The one more appealing was the complete calendar, but ...  

And I fully agree concerning the price. The 41 mm Complete Calendar is a bit large for my wrist (and for the movement), but I agree that the dial is really well made and appealing. Or course, the Excellence Platine is top! Best, Emmanuel

and I'm not a big fan of PC. The YG Batman would have been nice without a date. The rest was not that exciting, your PP easily eclipses them all.

The rose gold felt more attractive for me. And I far prefer the vintage ref. 43013. And, above all of them, my Chronometro Gondolo! Best, Emmanuel

I fully agree that the older PC reference looks more compelling overall! Is it just me or is the case on that also a tad smaller? On first glance I found the new one would have benefited from shaving 2mm off 😉 And didn’t have that impression with the olde... 

Yes, the 43031 is only 36 mm vs 36.5 mm for the new Traditionnelle models. The lugs are also thinner and the stepped rounded bezel gives a completely different impression than the flat bezel of the Traditionnelle case. The 1912 is really a lovely watch. B...

I mean the 36,5 mm variant, as the 40 mm would be too big for me. Whereas the 1912 is really appealing to me.

Sometimes these things work in strange ways 🤪👍🏻 And what sounds unlikely on paper works like a charm in practice 🙌🏻

Also, i agree with the rose gold perpetual being nicer in the metal
