Of a nearly perfect recreation. I will always default to a preference for the original but this one was so surprising and exquisitely made as to make me reconsider my prejudice. The return of the & ampersand on the dial was an especially nice touch. The vintage-centred crowd wryly joke that V&C’s motto could have been “anything is possible” over “do better if possible” and with this piece unique I see more than a glimmer of that ancient ethic.

At first I thought the vintage was a destro but the dial layout is perfectly positioned to be able to read time on the left wrist while driving. It makes the modern layout look awkward!

Yes, the 40mm models do wear large.

VC should have kept the ampersand and they should
bring it back! I agree that almost anything is possible for them and they certainly could also do better sometimes, imo!
