And the right companion for the occasion! Pure class.

Celebrated its fifth anniversary in our household this year and it’s still as enticing to me as on the first day 😁

the dial pattern and case shape are so cool! It is a design I would expect from Cartier, Piaget, Boucheron or maybe an 70s AP but not Vacheron. They were really daring design-wise with this one. And they really nailed it.

The original came out in 1972, when they were probably on the more adventurous side 😁 This is the 2013 re-issue (fourth gen) 👍🏻

Sometimes the watch has to compensate for the shortcomings of the owner 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

I hope you will get to enjoy the odd event. The one we supposedly got tickets for, well, was a scam 🤦🏻‍♂️

Gotta ask about the movement, though. That case looks exceptionally thin, and I wonder what's running it.

The all gold Cal. 1003, at 1,75mm fairly slender itself. And it needs to be as the case is curved front and back, so to get the under 8mm total thinness, the movement doesn’t have much space. Same movement in a flat watch allows for under 5mm total thickn... 

Was supposedly a commercial failure but that doesn’t bother me 😁👍🏻

As there are so few it’s difficult to say for me 😁👍🏻

And for good reason - they are very cool watches 👌🏻👍🏻
