Rol Thunderbird (Thurn-O-Graph) started in 1953 with 6202. Initially it was quasi Sub )) Later rotating bezel was part of Datejust family. Of course, Rolex has priority for rotating bezel I'm not sure, when did V&C started to produce 6782 (my is from 1964...  

is the T-bird and yours is in remarkable shape, congratulations The earliest I have recorded is of 1963 manufacture, with a gold tapestry dial and baton hands. I see you have the original certificate of origin! Aside from dials, cases for the 6782 were al...

I haven't seen one in person, only auction photos... In addition to yours with vertical indexes, some other dial variations are very pleasing like this with horizontal indexes and inset onyx... And just to conclude with another unusual variation are those...
