I am generally not a fan either of Tributes and often prefer the original vintage to the reedition but in this particular case... I love it.

I would not compare 47111 with 4178 which has an incredible charm and is also wonderful, but would say that with this Les Historiques chrono VC has succeeded to design a piece that combines all the pros : the charm and beauty of the vintage chronos (not only the dial but also the case with the great teardrop lugs) modernized in a very classical way, together with the fantastic Lemania caliber, the ideal size 37mm for such a classy chrono... It carries all VC attributes

And needless to say that the salmon color dial surely ads to the beauty of this one and makes it immediately recognizable.

Yes I agree this chrono is definitely iconic and carries all VC attributes.

IMHO also it is among the best of VC.

Further to Nicolas recent post, I mentioned you would not have to wait too long before it comes... My VC Les Historiques chrono 47111 has just arrived yesterday and I could not resist to the pleasure of sharing with you few pics taken in a rush today Hope...

Congratulations! This is a stunner- the tones, the texture, the proportions are gripping. Tribute watches usually leave me feeling conflicted, but here, there is no doubt; it surpasses its historic predecessor in every respect. All due deference to the 41...

Have been locking very seriously at this little guy for a while, a true gem! Almost went for it but then the fricky Freak passed by... But it is definitely on my list! Plus I still have on my mind forming a Lemania team around my PP5070, would love to see...

that would be so cool to see, a killer combo! a few months ago I had them all in the cross-hair at the same time, almost like a "party-pack" ...but hesitated, then something else came...you know the story. I hope you'll go for it and show us! cheers, Alex...
