Well, i am going to consider only the ones I own because thinking about the ones I don't own opens up a can of worms as there are just too many to consider. Actually, I think these two do make a near perfect pair for me, and that is what I had in mind whe...

Get both! If pressed, I agree with you, Nicolas, the Mercator is probably the one to get. It seems the more iconic example of VC's alternative time display watches. And I think the Saltarello is probably less to everyone's taste than the Mercator series. ... 

I am with you. In my opinion, I like both jump hours, and I really want badly the white gold Saltarello, as I think it is really a beautiful look and totally different than anything else. I could have gotten last year the rose gold version, at a reasonabl...

i feel they do not belong as these pair are tribute to vintages. i view the malte chrono, though having art -decor fan lugs, as a more modern interpretation of a VC chrono, with a larger case and for the platinum model ,a beautifully finished blasted dial...
