As always very good read and watch
If I would have to choose I would go with the Ref 30020, 4241 for daily use and the 4293 as top watch - I find that you look at them and at first glance you think VC.
I actually also like the 43031 but I would go with the AP variant for this one, the AP Ref 5548 launched in 1977 or it's successor 25657 that came along in 1982.
Also woth mentioning is that the gorgeous
47112 is one of the few very complicated modern watches in a size below 40mm - so that would also be a great choice to go against Pateks 3970
