Well, I think we have to understand UN ....
.... and accept this as an unlucky constellation of various coincidents and spontaneous decisions. I had the impression that specifically at UN people were a bit worried about this year's Basel fair to be compromised by the poor economic climate. The news from the Geneva fair were not very optimistic, so it might have been a waste of valuable resources to stage a huge presentation event for the Moonstruck in basel, when barely any visitors and journalists would attend. What nobidy could know, was that the visitors' frequency was nearly as high as last year, and according the the Baselworld management, the total number of visitors was about the same level as the record-breaking year 2007. And there were even more accredited journalists than last year!
However, in my opinion it would heve been better then to completely hide the Moonstruck from the public, until showing it with a big presentation event later this year.

Marcus
Thanks, Marcus!

Hi Marcus, Thanks for sharing the photos. The new San Marco with blue enamel and guilloche is beautiful. And that clock is impressive piece of mechanism. Regards
