Ulysse Nardin Diver Blue Shark for the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show.

Here is the new edition of the Ulysse Nardin Diving Watch for the Monaco Yacht Show.

A fresh looking Diver, with a 42 mm steel case, a blue PVD bezel and a sandblasted dial. The Movement is the Cal 816, an automatic movement, with a power reserve of 42 hours.

An impressive engraved case back:

Water resistant to 300 meters, available in 300 pieces.

Here are the photos I just received.

If only there was not this date... 42 mm is excellent for me, when it comes to a diving watch. The sandblasted dial is top looking, too.

Best,

Nicolas

Limited to 300 pieces. I would like to see it on a wrist.

And no white date window to spoil the dial ! [nt]

No message body

They have made a good job of this design.

But who needs the date window?

Absolutely necessary ...

... sorry, but not all people are alike you so it is impossible to judge a feature in absolute terms as "necessary" and "unnecessary". I have absolutely no use of a second time zone or world time function, but would never dare to call such a complication ...

Agree. But the economic reality is that there is much more demand for date-equipped watches ...

... it has a reason why Longines discontinued its no-date legend Diver so quickly. At least UN has catered to the no-date group with the beautiful Marine Torpilleur, which I would buy in an instant - if it had a date ... Marcus

I want to say yes, but it’s a no from me.

Corum did a blue watch, including the bracelet (PCLs, iirc), and like black DLC, it looks great until the inevitable marks start detracting from it. The dial looks like Bvlgari’s magnesium cased model, the bezel is too retro for my liking (IWC AT or an ol...

I second your opinion ...

... regarding the lack of original design. Indeed, not only the bezel appears to be taken from the older IWC AT, but the hands, too, more than distantly resemble those of the older IWC Ingenieur. I had believed the blue case would be either ceramic or rub...

A very sporty diver.

I'm typically not a blue guy but this one is an exception. I'm looking forward to live pics. M4

And in this case? [nt]

Very small case, strap short, too small for me
