Independent Second Time Zones

Hi Marcus

That was a lovely review. I just wanted to add that there are three watchbrands that cater to the half-hour setting in the second time zone functionality. In fact the setting can be even at a 1 minute difference owing to the fact the minute hand in the subdial for the second or third time zone is independent.

1. Dubey & Schaldenbrand - Aerodyn Duo : Tonneau case with second time zone subdial at the 12 o'clock position  with independently settable hour and minute hand . A 24hour indicator at the 9 o'clock position. Date subdial at 6 o'clock.Solid case back.

1.1. Dubety& Schaldenbrand - Parade GMT wth a round dial, coin edged bezel,  All other features the same as aerodyn duo except a beautifylly engraved movement (gold plated) inside a sapphire crystal back.

1.2 Dubety& Schaldenbrand - Carre Cambre Diplomatic wth a round dial, coin edged bezel,  All other features the same as aerodyn duo except that there was a sterling silver case option. Solid case back only.

All three models have a quick settable date. The base movement in all the three is ETA 2892-A2. All settings are via the single crown.

2. Franck Muller : Master Banker with three independent time zones. Cintree Curvex case with solid caseback. A limited edition version in YG has a sapphire caseback. Base Move, ment is once again ETA 2892-A2. All settings are via the single crown. The shortcoming is that the date is not a quick setting date function. The hour hand must be rocked back and forth between 11 and 12 to move the date.

3.Parmigiani Fleurier : Hemisphere: A new introduction with independent twin time zones. I donot have much information on the movement and will most appreciate the forum members contributing to this.

Will be glad to hear if there are other brands that offer independently settable second time zone in any model.

regards
