An all time favorite
for me. A Ludwig masterpiece! If you know someone who "doesn't get" mechanical watches show them this... if they still "don't get it" they never will. The dawn-dusk line indicator is insane!
That is a watch I have been looking in to lately ...
in my research on Ludwig Oechslin. The dial and complication are wonderful. The case is perhaps not âin vogueâ at the moment. With awatch like this thatâs unimportant. This type of watch is certainly not for everyone.. Itâs a connoisseurs watch and a damn...
I agree that the case is not the biggest asset of this watch...
But I think that there was an even more outdated case, before, if my memory serves me well... ...

When you play this league such issues are not important. No design is truly timeless. Itâs more a question of good or bad work.
Was there a different case? I believe it is unchanged although the concentric dial rings have gone from blue to black with the move from cloisonné to enamel painting.
Change to the equator ring size with the revised enamel painting and dragon hand green to blue.
I believe there was originally a version without cloisonné in Yellow gold or Rose gold
This had a stencil outline of the earth from above. I have the brochures for this model and the case appears to be the same as the version with cloisonné. Platinum version only had cloisonné I believe until the enamel painted version cane out.

I am still fascinated by the fact that the 2892 is able to supply this mechanical piece of art ...
... with enough energy. When the Trilogy was designed, only a few base movements were available, and after a thorough evaluation, during which one movement literally dissolved itself, only the ETA proved to be strong enough - better than the 2824, as Dr. ...
What is interesting to me is if I put my Tellurium and 5711 on a winder, the Tellurium requires less winding. (bi-directional v's uni-directional?)
So time and date piece versus many complications, does show the 2892 is a power house.
