Hi Jim
I don't own a Macho Palladium but I do have wrist experience to answer the two questions you are asking.
The slightly "oval" shape takes time to adjust visually but based on wear experience (AP Millenary) I found no difference in comfort. The factors that affect comfort in my opinion is the strap configuration (length, padding, and type of buckle) and weight of the watch itself.
I've found that heavier watches (made of gold) tend to roll on my wrist if the case is thick. To compensate I have to pull the strap tight which at the end of the day gets uncomfortable.
As for Palladium please read my review on The Villemont Vltime for comparison. While there is a bit of hype, there are some reasons why Palladium cases are more difficult and expensive to manufacture.

Hope this helps. PLease share pics of your new watch if you go through with the purchase.
Cheers, Mike

Thank you very much for the great information Mike. I really enjoyed your review of the Villemont watch. Its amazing how the prices of these metals have risen since your writing and watches in precious metal cases are being rapidly snapped up. Jim
