I know, why not before? I have seen them but actually do not even recall handling one. In any event, on a recent trip to Las Vegas, I came across this wonderful Freak Phantom, a 99 piece LE launched in 2013. Impressions? It is awesome. So much depth to it...  

Now, if I had to get one, I would probably repeat my choice, and go for a first generation. I prefer the smaller case, and the lucky lack of lock ( that sounds quite funny, phoneticaly speaking ). But I wouldn't complain if I could get a Diavolo. So, soon... 

however, I agree with you. Love my original version 1.0 in WG at 42 mm. Unmodified and happy I never had some of the initial escapement problems. I must say I like it without the lock as well, but I think all versions are winners! To think mine is 13 year...  

That will always be the best Freak, IMO, even if I would go for the newer Cruiser version. Thanks for the photo, Dave.

I would not part with it either. While I have not yet handled a Cruiser version, I like the updates it has received. One day I hope to officially join the club :-)

It is an amazing watch and design no matter whether it is the original version though to the latest cruiser. I love the new models with the use of the anchor and waves on the bezel. I actually had mine on last night after a break sat in the bank and remem...

Is this a piece unique? I can’t tell what’s written on the bezel lock.

Sorry if I was unclear, I was referring to the Mr. Luff version. Also, do you know if anyone here owns this watch? I’d love to get some real world insights. I saw a gentleman named Nick has one, but I’m not sure if he’s an active member here anymore ...

The primary reason is that I really miss the precision of a seconds hand. The minute hand on the Blue Cruiser is quite wide so you never really know the time more accurately than +/- 2 minutes or so. Plus the tourbillon inside a tourbillon concept is supe...
