From wear I sit each piece is special. Each carry in it UN DNA. Each has a different functionality. The perpetual is purity and perfection. It is controlled by the crown alone with no pushers needed. No need for the pesky moon phase either. And when
we reach 2100 no need to worry as it is the one where the correction can be done at home and it won't have to go back to the Manufacture to be reset.
The toubillon is beautifully executed and it is an inhouse silicium movement. Nice finished. Comfortable and a fitted strap is also unique. Simple but elegant. It is the forerunner to the anchor escapement Tourbillon which I would probably check out as it is a new and revolutionary movement.
And then there is the Freak. A truly piece unto itself. No more needs to be said. .

One of the unique features of the Freak is that it has no crown and no hands. The entire movement is driven by the mainspring and rotates in such a way that the movement is the instrument for telling the time. The hour indicator is found on the mainspring...
To my dismay ....

ThePuristS appears to have deleted all older feature articles and pictures. In 2004, I published a rather volumiinous review of the UN GMT Perpetual, how it works and how it is used. For me, it is still the most user-friendly perpetual calendar on the mar...
