Sad news for all the Deep Purple Fans., Jon Lord, who played keyboards in the Deep Purple Band, passed away, yesterday night. Another great Monsieur of Rock has gone for Deeper waters. Sad, bad... Too bad. Best, Nicolas, a " Child in Time " lover.

i've been a lifelong Deep Purple fan and they would have been much less of a success without the Hammond Organ played by Jon. he will always be a 'child in time'. G

...though Ritchie Blackmore's monster guitar work was the driving force. Machine Head will always be one of my favorite all-time classic records. I bought it new. "Highway Star" did it for me

Child in time...song that, along with, Smoke on a Water brings back many many fond memories from youth RIP Mr. Lord Damjan

A fat, distorted, harmonically rich Hammond organ played through a Marshall stack. That riff from Smoke on the Water (co written by Lord) has to be one of the most memorable in rock history, and the duet with Ritchie Blackmore's guitar is a spine chilling... 

my son who is a pretty damn good guitarist if i say so myself spends most of his time listening to Deep Purple and Sabbath when his band are in the van driving to gigs. his bands FB page put up an RIP. for a bunch of blokes in their early 20’s to feel tha...

I was listening to Deep Purple 2 days ago on Pandora. Saw the band live about 10 years ago in Detroit. Very sad to see a creator in one of my all time favorite stars go. J.
