Walking Up The Mountain Today, Part 2
We tore ourselves away from the views and kept walking. We met a kid visiting from a flat part of Texas who was seeing things from a mountain for the first time. Like this Pond
and Pool(s).
We watched a hawk soaring around the mountain and were surprised that he dropped in to check up on us.
Dedication of the outdoors theatre at the top of the mountain.
I can remember coming here a few times as a child, when we attended a sunrise service on Easter morning. This theatre was packed with people facing East and watching for the first appearance of the sun.
We walked down the rock steps and found our way towards the platform.
not missing the lizard sunning himself (out of sight of the hawk).
