Walking Up The Mountain Today, Part 1
OK, yes it’s a small mountain, but still worth walking around, especially since it is loaded with citrus and avocado groves. As we got out of the car we were greeted by hummingbirds hard at work (is it work for them?)

My wife immediately went to work perusing this Little Library.

She sat happily reading the "I Spy” book which helps you notice fine details in complicated illustrations. I find more pleasure in finding the fine details in complicated landscapes...

Another hummer buzzed up, milking this Cape Honeysuckle vine.

I admired the creative fencing solution required when you have a yard filled with boulders!

We turned onto a private lane (snooping around) and were greeting by a couple ladies and a young boy on their way to preschool.
The boy’s mom pointed out that their neighbor's citrus trees were heavily laden with fruit, and he was allergic so why didn’t we help ourselves.
And "Here’s a tangerine” and “You can park in our driveway" and “Have a nice day!”
Stunned, grabbed a couple bags from the car and followed orders.
We have walked out here before, admiring the views and houses with those views, and we decided to explore further given how friendly the natives were...

After loading the car with fruit, we repositioned it and started walking again.

The round structure below is not a water tank. It’s a round house that revolves. I’ll try to find a link to the earlier thread where I discussed it.

Looking Northward.

Looking Westward.
