Life in La Jolla, Part 1

We had business to conduct today but that didn’t stop us from a stroll, a watch, the camera and eyes scanning for items of interest. Including the blandest Honda Element ever...

Modern and Private are two common descriptors for La Jolla homes.

Coastal / Substantial / Rich are adjectives that apply, as La Jolla's 32,000 residents are wealthier than 88% of the rest of the US.

But it still has charm, as shown here.

We called on a few of the residents to deliver goodies and pick up surplus items.

Tiny chimney of random bricks above massive expanse of cedar shingles.

We are right on the edge of the ocean so I wore my Aqua Lung (we did this walk yesterday). I think I need some moisturizer on my hand, don’t I.

We accomplished our mission and then climbed (in the car) up to the top of Mt. Soledad.

BTW - here’s the map layout. You will see much of this in Part 2:

Here are some apartment and condo options:

We have friends who live up here but I can never find their place on the first try because there are so many look-alike units (must visit more often).
If I tilt the camera up a bit, I can almost see my house from here… out in the far distance you can see two of the Los Coronados islands in Mexico.
